How thick are the layers of material in 3D printers?

For plastic, Sculpteo has two layer thicknesses available. A standard thickness of between 100 - 150µm and a higher definition layer thickness of 60µm. The polyamide objects we 3D print have a maximum precision of ± 0.3mm for pieces under 100mm and a global precision of ± 0.3% for pieces 100mm or larger.
